01The short version

The calculator itself does the math in your browser. The loan amount, interest rate, term, and any extra or balloon payments you type in are never sent to a server or stored by us — they exist only on your device for as long as your tab is open. We do not require an account, a login, or an email address to use any part of this tool.

Like most websites, we do collect some limited, non-identifying technical data to keep the site running and to understand how it’s used. The sections below describe that in detail.

02Information we collect

Loan calculator inputs

Principal, rate, term, extra payment, balloon payment, and the generated schedule are processed entirely client-side, in your browser. Nothing you type into the calculator fields is transmitted to us or saved on our servers.

Usage and device data

We may collect standard analytics data such as your approximate location (city or region level, derived from IP address), browser type, device type, referring page, and pages viewed, to understand traffic and improve the site.

Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and similar technologies for basic site functionality, analytics, and — if applicable — to serve advertising. See the cookies section below for details on managing these.

Downloaded files

If you use the “Download schedule” button, the CSV file is generated locally in your browser and saved directly to your device; it does not pass through our servers.

Because loan and payment details are calculated locally and never reach our servers, we have nothing of that kind to retain or delete. Aggregate, non-identifying analytics data may be retained by our analytics provider according to their own retention schedules.

Because we don’t collect personally identifying information through the calculator itself, most requests will relate to analytics or advertising cookies, which you can manage through your browser or device settings, or by opting out through your analytics/advertising provider’s tools where available.

This site is not directed at children under 13 (or the relevant age of digital consent in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
